Zoroastrainism and Buddhism have some different tenets, which makes them seperate religions, but they also have some similarities. Zoroastrianism is monotheistic and they believe in one god. Buddhism on the other hand believes that there are many gods, but one god, Brahma, is more important than the rest, but Buddhism is still a polytheistic religion. Also, Zoroastrianism was founded by a prophet, Zarathushtra and receieved his teachings from a revelation from god. Buddhism also was founded by a man who had a revelation from his god and obtained Buddhist teachings. They both have sacred texts, but Zoroastrianism has one main which is the Avesta. Buddhism has many texts that they use like the sutras, suttas, and pali canon. Buddhism also has guidelines on how to live your life by following the four noble truths and the eight fold path where Zoroastrianism doesn't have that. Zoroastrianists wear garments such as the sudreh and kushti to show signs of their faith. They also believe that fire is a symbol of eternal law and by praying to it, you'll be closer to god, which is why they pray five times a day.
