Basic Tenets
There is one and only one supreme being which is Ahura Mazda and no other main gods should be worshipped
A phophet named Zarathushtra founded Zoroastrianism and received his revelations from Ahura Mazda himself
Zoroastrians observe one sacred text which is the Avesta where most of their teachings are
There are two sacred garments, the sudreh (shirt) and the kushti (cord).
Prayer is often recited throughtout the day and is usually recited five times a day
Fire is a symbol of Asha, or the eternal law, and the light of God. Prayer is usually before a fire.
